(WASHINGTON, DC) The leadership of the National Organization of Black County Officials (NOBCO) Board Chairman, Commissioner Roy Charles Brooks and National Association of Black County Officials (NABCO) President, Commissioner Rodney Ellis released the following statement in response to this national pandemic:
“In light of the rapid spread of the Coronavirus across our nation and the world, our leadership made the decision to postpone our 36th Annual EDC, “The Value of Coexistence” scheduled for Atlanta, GA, April 22-25, 2020. At this time the health of our communities is priority #1, we will reschedule the EDC for this fall.
On behalf of our County Officials throughout the nation we are committed to continue the work of keeping the health and wellbeing of our communities at the top of our priority list. You are our “Why,” we serve you. We will continue to monitor and work with our fellow government officials at the federal, state, and local level to keep you informed as we tackle this this global pandemic as one nation.”
